The dumb thing is that they could have easily had Frank Macedo there for basically a ride to the thing. He lives over by West Flamingo Park, has always been friendly with our league, and skated derby from 1958 to 1990ish. Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.

I suspect the only reason he's never been involved in RC is that he used to work weekends at a local casino. He recently had a torn retina and had to quit the job. I would've suggested him to them but it turns out the V.A. has scheduled some more work on his eye just before RollerCon. If he's feeling up to it, I may offer him a ride to see you guys skate. Of course he also wants to see the Canadian girls challenge, as he skated up there for quite a while.

He's one of the legendary old school derby jammers. Did some skating stunts in two early Jackie Chan films.
