RollerCon Opening Reception

Dearest Men of the unaffiliated dude derby teams,

We would love to have you choose someone to speak a few words about modern roller derby on behalf of men playing derby at the opening reception of RollerCon 08, if you're interested and planning to attend.

We have invited the Junior Flat Track Derby Association, WFTDA and OSDA, as well. Jerry Seltzer and Loretta "Lil Iodine" Behrens have also been invited to speak on behalf of the first generation of derby. If you have ideas for other folks, please don't hesitate to suggest them!

We're envisioning slots around 5 minutes long, but we can work with you if you want more or less time. Our opening reception / cocktail hour is on Wednesday night, July 30 from 6-8pm.

Rocky Whorer of Twin City was supposed to be handling this, but I haven't heard any recent updates. I'm going to try emailing him again today.

According to Rocky, the challenge has been submitted, and we're waiting to see if it gets selected.
