Rumor has it that Black Attack beat White Flight.

I don't have the exact scores, but Black Attack won by ~12 points. A ton of fun, though! And even more fun were the co-ed Flamingo Banks scrimmages every night. Word.

Next year's RollerCon is July 29 through August 2.

I had a ton of fun at the Men's Derby at Freemont. Too bad no video.

It was an awesome experience and one of the 2 high points of my Rollercon experience...the other being meeting Frank Macedo

DAAAAAAMN!!!! i averaged 3 hours of sleep a night the entire week i was there! RollerCon was the most insane fun i've had in a while. the boy bout was DOPE! the scrimmages were good too. it was good to actually meet and skate wit hall of the dudes. i didnt know many of you , but i do now. let me know what the rest of the leagues are up to, and i'll come out to kick it. have skates will travel. i think all of the guys that skated the boy bout and scrimmages became MEGA ROCK STARS after this past week. almost all of the girls were diggin it. i honestly think we had the largest audience of people watching our game, even more than the featured bouts.

Motorspycho met Frankie Macedo ! Now that had to be an honor. I remember skating with Frank's son and Frank coming down to a practice. Frank must have been 55-60 but he put the wheels on and was super-smooth. He always had a very distinctive stride. If you can catch the 1959 Roller Derby World Series, he was just incredible.

I wonder if he had the chance to see Quadzilla? From what I have seen, I think Frank may agree that he (Quadzilla) would have been enormous box-office All-star material back in the old days.

Glad to hear the men went over like hotcakes.

When I was first introduced to him, he thought I was from the Stock Exchange, and he started talking about living down by Wall St. But when Poobah told him I was a skater, his eyes lit up. Poobah later told me Frank had been really excited to have met me and he's glad that men are skating again.

And yeah, I think the boy bout had the largest crowd and the loudest cheers of the challenges, even more than Team Awesome, lol

Ahh so perhaps we are not too far from a day when the AllStars from Gotham combine with NYSE and take on a mixed-All star team from another area.
