Again, I encourage EVERYONE WITH QUESTIONS re: the male RollerCon challenge to approach Rocky Whorer of Minneapolis/Twin City Terrors.

I don't want to publicly post his email address where spambots can find it, but I know you can also reach him via MySpace.

Rocky only comes to these forums every now and then, so there's a good chance any questions about the challenge will be missed and go unanswered.

Here's the lowdown i contacted one of the guys helping Rocky organise this and its apparently going to be White Vs Black so i have been told. I can also confirm that scince i know the skater that is organising all of the challenge bouts that the Mens Challenge Bout has been confirmed and is selected for 5:15pm on Thursday at Fremont Street.

So, do we have a team roster yet and I have a few questions about this freemont st. Will there be a sport court laid or are we really going to play derby on concrete??

Haha... sport court on Fremont street?

I played there last year. Yes, it is concrete. It's also uneven in some places, with big cracks in the sidewalk. I would advice soft or outdoor wheels (Pures worked well for me). There's also really no outside barrier around the track with the crowd right there - both me and Justice got our skates tangled in a bag or purse after going outside.

It's also fun as hell - if you've ever been to Vegas, this is literally right in the middle of the avenue at Fremont street, surrounded by tons of people. They build a stage, and it's awesome.

The Flamingo Banks are also concrete, but they're MUCH better - I really liked skating on them. Polished concrete, I think, and they made a really nice track there. I used indoor wheels there, although they did wear out faster than they usually do...

Anyhow, in addition to the public scrimmage, there will be co-ed, male, and female pick-up scrimmaging at the Banks for about 3 hours every night. The Banks were my favorite part of RollerCon last year.

Ouch Pures, Not used to a narrow hub. Maybe I will use G-Rods or Routes who knows. Sounds like fun, never been to Vegas
